Global Learning Alliance to train Microsoft .NET software developers around the world
by Anonymous
The global scheduling system allows IT professionals and corporate buyers of training to search and register for courses from GLA’s expansive network of training centers around the world.
In conjunction with a global marketing campaign, Microsoft is promoting training into its worldwide software developer community - a community exceeding 700,000 developers in over 100 countries.
"United Training and the Global Learning Alliance join scale with quality for this exciting .NET initiative." says Marissa Strominger, director of marketing for Microsoft Learning. "The global developer community will have an easy way to search and register for training solutions that fit their unique learning and work preferences, delivered by our premier network of training partners – Microsoft CTECs."
In North America, The United Training Corporation, a network of leading Microsoft Certified Technical Education Centres (CTECs), will provide classroom based and online training. Global Learning Alliance, also a network of leading Microsoft CTECs will provide the training outside North America. Along with a global marketing campaign, training will be accessible through a comprehensive online registration and scheduling system. This eBusiness platform will support search, scheduling, registration and reporting, as well as direct students to the nearest training center.
Steve Delcarson, president, Global Learning Alliance said: "GLA members throughout the world systematically upload course schedules into the system providing a valuable resource for corporate training departments. Training schedules from many of the world's leading Microsoft CTECs can now be viewed in one place."
"For corporate buyers we customize the transaction workflow and system features to suit our client's specific purchasing requirements. Many organizations, including the US government are using the Alliance to organise IT training for staff located at all points of the globe."
Initially, course schedules are being made available for the Microsoft CTEC courses that are being promoted as a part of Microsoft's campaign to develop .NET skills. The Alliance intends to make further course offerings available as demand develops.
Christopher Roy, President, United Training Corporation, said: "Creating Global solutions for Microsoft and enterprise accounts by utilizing the Members of GLA and UT will not only insure that the end –users experience the highest quality of knowledge and skills, but the Microsoft CTEC's part of this global network will have great exposure into some of Microsoft's most valuable customers."
Global Learning Alliance's system has been built using technology provided by Enterprise Study, a specialist developer of training business administration software.
Rob Clarke, marketing director, Global Learning Alliance, said: "Aggregated catalogues containing many suppliers' offerings are the norm in other industry sectors, for example the travel sector and the consumer electronics sector, where customers may browse the offerings from many suppliers. Global Learning Alliance's new international schedule, aggregating the catalogues of its members around the world, is the first stage of this level of choice being made available to buyers in the training industry."
